The nearest beach is (now best known as Le Farfalle), hardly
150 metres far from the doorstep of Villetta Umberto.

Whatever the wind, you will always find a bech with quiet sea,
either on the North or the South coast. The beaches in the area
offer servicing and rental of boats, water scooters, surf boards,
rubber dinghies.
There are also a windsurf and sailing
school and a diving center where you can obtain a scuba diving
licence as well as take guided dives and boat tours.
Capo Coda Cavallo
The peninsula draws its name from its peculiar shape remindful
of a horse's tail. From the summit of Coda Cavallo (108 metres
above sea level), which can easily be reached with a short walk,
the eye encompasses a breathtaking all-round view of one of

Tavolara
The protected sea area covers coastal and marine territories
in the municipalities of Olbia, Loiri San Paolo and San Teodoro,
from Capo Cesareo (in the North) to Capo Coda Cavallo (to the
South), including the islands of Tavolara, Molara, Molarotto,
Piana, Cavalli and some minor islets.
Tavolara is a granitic shelf on top of which lie further dolomitic
and calcareous layers. Its overhanging cliffs make it unaccessible,
except for the granitic offshoot known as Spalmatore di Terra.

The Padru-Mt. Nieddu tourist road long sounded like an utopic
dream, but today it is a wonderful reality. Mt. Nieddu, whose
Punta Maggiore (major summit) reaches 971 metres above sea level,

and a fascinatingly interesting one. Here nature lovers can
still be find extensive ilex and cork oak woods, as well as
Mediterranean shrubs inhabited by a variety of wild mammals
